my first day “in the field” (literally).

i took a number of pictures before i started helping a group of women shell maize. it was a hot, sticky, itchy experience. i fumbled my way through the process, dropping a bucket of maize (and my dignity) along the way. while they…

i hardly have the words.

i am in awe of these strong african women.
